Do Most Men Believe Rape Accusations Made by Women Anymore?

By now, most of you might have have heard about a few “anonymous women” accusing Russell Brand of alleged sexual assault in the deep past (over a decade ago). Without going into any great detail into their curiously timed accusations, one has to wonder why they waited so long to make these accusations public. What are the chances that they waited all these years and just coincidentally made these accusations public at the precise time Russell Brand has become a famous and outspoken critic of the British establishment. As some of you might know, such conveniently timed accusations have almost become endemic nowadays. Think of Julian Assange, Donald Trump, Johnny Depp, Brett Kavanaugh and many more. In some ways, this is a predictable and logical extension of women accusing their husbands of sexual abuse during divorce.

And this brings me to an important, if unpleasant, question. At this point, how many men actually give a fuck if rape and abuse accusations made by women are true or not. While there always some boomer men and younger effeminate “male feminists” who might give a fuck about such accusations, I think it is fair to say that a rapidly growing percentage of men don’t care. Think of it as a mixture of contempt and indifference. To understand what I am talking about, let be honest about something- most humans only care about something which personally affects them (or might) in a positive or negative manner. Caring about rape accusations by women only makes senses if you have a personal investment or stake in such behavior being punished. Men who have gone through a series of bad relationships, no relationships or don’t have biological children have zero investment in whether such accusations are true or not.

It is not about whether they find such accusations plausible or if they think that the woman deserved that outcome. It is about not caring about them from the point of contemptuous indifference- a form of detachment.
