How did Reddit Become an Echo-Chamber for Delusional and Retarded SJWs?

Nowadays, the mere mention of large and centralized meta-forums such as Reddit or Tumblr will very often invoke the mental image of a place full of delusional and self-righteous SJWs who live in their own echo-chambers. If you don’t believe just have a look at the hot topics and member replies in a few random subreddits. But some might also remember a time (about 7-10 years ago) when things were different and sites such as Reddit had a massive diversity of opinion and worldviews. So what happened and how did a site with massive diversity of opinions become so full of stupid, liberal, effeminate, delusional and retarded morons? As you will see, the answer is a bit more complicated than what you might think. I will also show you why it is now almost impossible to resurrect sites such as Reddit and Tumblr in their original form.

Let us start by asking the obvious, but seldom asked, question- where did all those people with different opinions and worldviews who used to post on Reddit go? The simple answer is that they moved on to a lot of different places. These range from pre-existing specialized online forums and bulletin boards to groups on Telegram, Signal etc. Some also kept posting on more main-steam social media sites such as Twitter, YouTube, TikTok etc and less well known ones such as Rumble, Odysee, Locals etc. My point is that the takeover of Reddit by SJWs which began around 2014-2015 merely shifted the main positing location of those with ‘non-liberal’ conformist opinion to sites other than Reddit, Tumblr etc. And this leads us to the second question- why didn’t Reddit and similar meta-forums try to stop the loss of such people?

In my opinion, it comes down to few things starting with the type of people who infest decision-making positions in certain types of corporations. To be blunt, the average person who does actual work in a silly-valley corp is usually an apolitical person of vaguely liberal sympathies, while those who bullshit their way into decision-making positions are almost always performative ‘liberals’ with serious delusions of grandeur. It also helps that corporations in the West are run for on a time-scale of no more than three months ( a year at most) and regardless of what happens to the company and most people who work in it, the senior management and their flunkies always “win”. Which is another way of saying that the people who make dumb and bad decisions in corporations always fail upwards even if they leave a smoking ruin behind them.

While governmental pressure, esp from Democrats after 2018, might have played a minor role in the demise of Reddit- it was, at best, a minor factor since the collapse had started at least three years before then. I would make the argument that threats from the Democratic party had a much larger role in shittification of Twitter, Google search etc and this has been documented in Twitter Files by independent journalists such as Matt Taibbi. My point is that SJW-fication of large and centralized forums such as Reddit, Tumblr etc occurred through a different mechanism and pathway than the ongoing demise of Twitter, FakeBook, Google search etc. Some of you might think that this is an inevitable result of the forum being large or old, but that is not the case. For example, a large and very useful specialized forum such as Cloudy Nights has remained relevant, busy and free of drama for over two decades.

The same is true of other forums and bulletin boards on topics ranging from space exploration, various engineering specialties, guns and other weapons and much more. The supposed death of smaller forums focused on specific areas due to proliferation of centralized social media such as FakeBook, Twitter etc has not occurred. Instead, mega social-media sites have largely killed off forums and boards devoted to empty gossip and social drama. And this brings us to another interesting observation. Forums and boards devoted to mostly male interests have kept doing well during this time period. However sites devoted to the interest of women and effeminate ‘liberal’ men have a strong tendency to degenerate into performative SJW-ism to the point where most people either stop caring or move on to another space. This is why sites like TikTok etc displaced older one such as Instagram, FakeBook, Snapchat etc.

To summarize, large centralized meta-forums such as Reddit became an echo-chamber for delusional and retarded SJWs largely because of profile of their median member. The thing is.. forums which mostly focus on gossip and social drama which are mostly populated by effeminate men and women are guaranteed to become echo-chambers once everyone who does not agree with or care about the latest conformist fashion moves on to another place. This is also why sites such as Reddit and Tumblr cannot be resurrected. They have pissed off too many of their previous users to ever recreate the old energy which was behind their rise. Did I mention that the delusional SJWs are now even more entrenched in Reddit and similar sites. As things stand, these sites are just going to keep on declining till they become irrelevant and eventually unprofitable to run. And nobody will miss them.
