Is the DNC Trolling Voters by Running Biden?

So here is a rather short, but relevant, post on a topic which I have previously touched on in What if Joe Biden Dies Before 2024 Election? By now, everyone and their dog has seen multiple video clips of Joe Biden displaying what can be very politely described as “noticeable cognitive decline”. Now.. I am aware that there are many theories about who, or what clique, is running the country. A range of names from Barack Obama, government officials of a certain ethno-religious group, the “deep state” have all been mentioned and they sound pretty plausible. But here is a more interesting question- given that the majority in this country, irrespective of party affiliations, now believe that Joe Biden is not in the mental or physical shape necessary to be president.. why is he still running for the 2024 party nomination? Who and what is behind that decision?

Some of you might attribute to this ego and that is certainly possible- but wouldn’t a functional political party find some way to sidestep or otherwise gently remove their supposed leader if that meant a much better showing on election day? I should note that Biden is not an exception in the Democratic party, as there are multiple recent instances of similar political figures staying on in spite of severe mental and physical decline- recent famous examples include Diane Feinstein, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and even Nancy Pelosi. I will conceded that while Republicans also have some very old people in politics, but they are noticeably fewer as a percentage and in better general health. It is also no secret that this unwillingness by Democrats to push such people out of office has cost them in their ability to govern effectively.

Then again, a cynic might say that in crumbling democracies the political parties are far more interested in looting whatever is left than governing effectively. And all of this brings me to the next logical question- Is the DNC, or Democratic party, trolling voters by running Biden for the 2024 election? In other words, is it intentional trolling or unintended effect of living in a system where politicians are far more focused on looting whatever is left before things go to shit? Another possibility, they have either rigged or think they have rigged the electoral system to the point where they assured of victory in 2024- at least in their minds. I also would not rule out this possibility since that was the thinking which led to their decision to pick Hillary Clinton as their nominee in 2016. What are your personal favorite theories on this topic?
