When did a Thick Booty Become Trendy Among White Instagram Thots?

Between 1995 and 2009, Fox used to broadcast a pretty good comedy sketch show on Saturday nights known as ‘Mad Tv’. In my opinion, it was much better than SNL and launched the careers of numerous successful comedians from Kay and Peele, Bobby Lee, Alex Borstein and many more. Its style of satire was also far more unrestricted, harsh and biting than SNL. Anyway.. in the 11th episode of tenth season (2005), one of its recurring characters, Dr. Kylie Johnson (played by Stephnie Weir) tries to convince a girl in her late teens to not get breast implants. Towards the end of the skit, she says something along the lines of “we can do butt implants too, but only black guys would find that appealing”. Note that this sketch was broadcast in 2005, which is less than 20 years ago, and was accurately represented how majority white culture in USA felt about curvy and shapely female behinds.

Fast forward to 2023 and try convincing someone under 30 that curvy female behinds used to a seen as a “black”, “brown” aka non-white thing. It is hard to open Instagram, TikTok or any photo/video heavy social media site and not come across a large number of white female models with often very obviously enhanced behinds. In fact, almost every single white or passing for white model willing to show skin on Instagram has a booty. While not every model is going ‘full Kim Kardashian’ and getting massive and obvious butt implants and fat transfer, it is hard to ignore that there has been a huge shift in what is publicly accepted as sexy in “white culture”. Notably, far fewer white women and models get large breast implants which were incredibly common (esp in entertainment industry) in the 1980s and 1990s. I am not claiming that breast implants have disappeared or something- it is just the popular sizes are far closer to normal than they used to be in previous decades.

FYI- I have always found the curvy but pert behind and medium sized tits to be far attractive than the big tits and flat butt popular in white culture during previous decades. So here is my question- since male biological preferences for female physical features haven’t changed in many tens of thousand years, what is your theory for the rapid and almost total dominance of the female booty over breasts in white north American culture. I am making a point about calling out the ‘white’ part because in most other parts of the world, a nice booty with medium sized tits has always been popular.. expects perhaps in East Asia where women seem to lack both attributes. So what are your theories about why ‘white culture’ used to have such an odd preference in past decades AND what combination of factors caused such a swift and complete change in their publicly displayed preferences.
