Initially I thought you should have included George Santos as a theater kid who at the time of this comment is New York's 3rd congressional district representative. Using your definition he seems to fit more into the used car salesman category.

I think he is just a compulsive liar. Interesting fellow (whatever or whoever he really is.) whose antics and lies I found amusing. Though in some ways he fits just right in politics he probably shouldn't be there either. Him being there is a disservice to the people of his district I think.

In politics and other domains there are a bunch of people, to use a ship example, who are more interested in being a captain of a ship rather than actually doing the duties of a captain, and understanding administration and its operations.

I am not predicting end times, but hearing stuff like this does make me wonder if it might be happening for real this time. Likely it is just the end of an era being witnessed and another will begin (if it hasn't already).

Given the stagnation in many areas, de-industrialization, and the number of political decisions that have led to poor outcomes for so many it is a little surprising more people haven't more or less rebelled against the system already. It reminds of a question about why more slaves didn't rebel in America that was posed in Going Postal, a book by Mark Ames. I know he gave an answer or a reasoning for it, but I don't quite remember the answer at the moment. But I imagine it (the reasoning and logic behind it) is relevant here too.

AD, do steroids cause hip problems later in life? Also do they permanently shrink balls to peanuts? Asking for a friend 🤫

Hip problems are not an issue unless you use pretty high doses of potent anabolic steroids. Ball shrinkage is however inevitable, though it is less pronounced with lower doses of testosterone- such as those used in replacement therapy.

Would someone with atrial fibrillation be risking harm by taking steroids? What health/bio metrics would you recommend be monitored by someone on steroids and at what intervals?

As long as the underlying heart issue is controlled by medications and dosage of Testosterone is not significantly higher than what is necessary for replacement levels, it should be fine.
