West is Oblivious to Extent of its Influence Loss

As regular readers know, I have stated on multiple occasions on this Substack (and on my previous blog) that the West is in the midst of a terminal decline which looks a lot like a slow-motion implosion. It is also clear that, despite what some people want to believe, this decline is due to multiple interacting trends- including some which are self-inflicted. To quickly recap, for newer readers, these trends include almost total technological stagnation, progressive loss of industrial and logistical capabilities, a steep decline in fertility rates, proliferation of parasitic PMC-types in governance, belief in dumb ideologies such “climate change” and “green energy” and more. To make matters worse, the center of global industrial capacity in every significant area has already moved to the East in past 2-3 decades, which is a nice way of saying that the sudden disappearance of West is unlikely to have any worthwhile medium- or long- term negative effects on rest of the world.

However, based on the behavior and attitudes displayed by western morons ranging from their heads of states, heads of institutions, senior bureaucrats etc, it seems that they are rather oblivious to this very obvious and global trend. While this might have something to do with their advanced age, it is far more likely to be the result of their rich imaginations. Because, it takes a pretty serious amount of magical thinking to believe in fantasies such as running national electricity grids on “renewable green energy”, banning internal-combustion engine automobiles, cheerleading energy shortages and every increasing prices and acting as of the rest of world still needs them and will follow them off the cliff. While I do have some theories about what drives this magical thinking (link 1, link 2, link 3, link 4, link 5 among others), it is clear that both the leadership class in West and most of the sheeple have less touch with physical and objective reality than the average guy after a few drinks.

Some readers might wonder if there is a overarching theory to explain why the West is screwing up so badly on multiple fronts, and at the same time. Well.. there is one. Have a look at the photo of Donatella Versace which shows how she used to look in her younger days versus how she looks now. Have you ever wondered how any person who is not mentally ill would choose to undergo multiple plastic surgeries to the point where they end up looking like ghouls? The part about undergoing multiple surgeries and procedures is especially important and relevant because its reveals a lot about how things end up so fucked. And let us be honest, a majority of aging white women in the West end up doing something similar to lesser degrees, especially if they have money and a bunch of flunkies who will massage their ego for money. BTW, Donatella is only 67 years old and that ghoulish photo is already a few years old.

Getting back to the question- what would possess anybody to pay money and undergo multiple surgeries to look like a ghoul? What is the thought process? The answer goes something like this: when they start down this track, the first couple of surgeries and procedures will almost always make them look better and less old, which is to to say there is some initial success. But as they age further or their ego keeps getting better, they will want ever more more radical surgeries. The logic behind it is as follows- “a little worked when I was younger, surely more will work now that I am older”. And sometimes, there will be some temporary improvements. But things keep getting worse and even the most radical surgeries start to have almost no positive effect. One might think that this would make the person reconsider their path- but it usually does not. In fact, most will keep going that path until almost nobody wants to operate on them or they suffer complications so bad that they are incapable of going further.

But is not just ego which drives these slow-motion accidents. All female public figures who undergo such horrible plastic surgeries have many paid flunkies who shield them from reality and constantly lie to them. So why do they do that? Well.. it is simple, they want to keep their jobs or be part of the entourage- which is a nice way of saying that it is all about keeping the cash spigot open. If you don’t believe me, just have a look at what “close friends” of celebrities say about their former employers once the money has run out. Now that you have an understanding of this general process, let us use it to understand how it relates to the West losing its influence. Let us begin this part by asking a simple question: Why did the West have influence in the past, anyway? The simple answer is that it all comes down to who has more money, industrial power, military might and social capital.

The next question would be: As things stand in 2023 (and the foreseeable future), does the West still have those things? Well.. not really. As mentioned earlier, the center of industrial capability has already shifted to the East. You might already be aware that all the important raw materials and finished products are not made in the West, and this ranges from the CPU and other chips in your smartphone to chemical precursors for basic drugs such as Amoxycillin and Paracetamol. In fact, most of everything necessary to make the modern world run properly is made outside the West. This was not the case even 20-25 years ago, but is firmly so now. And it is not just peaceful stuff, as the Ukraine war has shown. If you have been following that conflict, you might have realized that Russia can by itself produce more ammo and all sorts of weapons than the entire West, and this situation is not going to change in the foreseeable future since the West has already deindustrialized itself.

It is therefore clear that the West is now firmly deficient in industrial power as well as military might. In case you don’t believe the last assertion in previous sentence, name me one war which USA has decisively won since WW2. But.. some of you might say.. isn’t the GDP of western countries much larger than others. My answer would be- does that matter? Most GDP, especially in West, is generated by activity in the FIRE sector. It is just a bunch of people selling overpriced crap to each other for making up ludicrous numbers. Is a detached 4 bdr house in the Bay Area really worth 3-5 million USD? What makes that house so valuable other the willingness and ability of other people to pay that price? Does the high cost of medical services in USA translate into a better outcome than Greece, Turkey or Serbia. Just compare their life expectancies. Is the quality of life and infrastructure in a somewhat affluent Mexican city that much inferior to its equivalent in USA. And it it is not just about USA.

Take a look at house prices in countries such as UK, Norway, Netherlands etc and ask yourself- do the prices have any connection with quality of lifestyle nowadays. Maybe 3-4 decades ago, one might have been able to say that living in those countries was objectively better than living in Mexico or China- but is that still the case? And it gets better.. if the West really has a much bigger GDP than Russia, why is it unable to make enough weapons to supply Ukraine at a level approaching parity. GDP numbers, you see, are just something which people pretend to believe in as long as it makes their lives easier. It is just a mutually agreed hallucination which people participate in until external reality becomes too obvious to ignore. My point is that the West no longer has industrial capacity, military might to exercise any hard power and its money power is increasingly inconsequential on a sharp decline.

Ever wonder why all those “sanctions from hell” imposed by West on Russia had no significant effect on the later? Didn’t dementia-ridden Joe Biden promise everyone that the Russian economy suppose to collapse within a few months- at most? Have any of those sanctions even dented Russian earnings from export of energy products, among others? Has it even affected their ability to produce oil and gas? Have you noticed that currencies other than USD, Euro etc are being increasingly used for international trade- including for crucial products such as Oil and Gas? Did the “price cap” by G7 on Russian oil and gas have any worthwhile effect? Western sanctions on maritime insurance? How many countries outside the West and a few vassals such as Japan have curtailed doing direct business with Russia? See a pattern?

Have you noticed how countries outside West, even those in Africa, now treat any suggestions by western leaders to do things- from cutting trade with Russia to adopting “green energy”? You know why… because the West is no longer their leading business partner in addition to being a shrinking market. This is why even a country full of people willing to kiss western white ass, such as India, has taken the stance it has on issues ranging from Ukraine war to curtailing the power of western FIRE sector companies in its economy. And this is only the beginning.. Just think how much more interesting things will get once USA tries to ramp up the new cold war against China. But none of this has stopped West, both USA and west European countries, from trying to pretend that they are still in the same relative position versus rest of world as 3-4 decades ago. They just don’t get it, or want to see reality.

That is why European leaders still visit countries and tell them to do things ranging from not trading with China and Russia to selling their sovereignty to western FIRE companies. That is why they still loudly pretend to be democracies and champions of personal freedom and all that other bullshit. That is why that mentally retarded Greta, and other like her, preach the bright future of “green energy” to non-white countries. But now.. the thing is.. the vast majority of countries can see that West is no longer important, powerful or even capable. They are just living in the decaying mansions built by their ancestors and don’t have a great future- to put it mildly. That is why everyone from Saudi Arabia and UAE to India and Indonesia, not to mention Mexico Brazil etc just pretend to listen when the West speaks. It seems that nobody, yet, wants to tell the decrepit beauty of yesteryears that all those plastic surgeries are not fooling anyone. Eventually, someone will do that..
