Why are Western "Experts" so Delusional about the Course of Ongoing War in Ukraine?

During the past few months, I wrote a few posts about the ongoing war in Ukraine. While I could have written many more, there are more things which interest me than that conflict and its multiple fallouts. However, to summarize my previous posts on this topic very briefly- it has always been my opinion that Russia would win the war and annex Russian-majority areas east of Dnieper river in addition to entire coastline leaving behind a poor and chaotic Ukrainian rump state in western part of present-day Ukraine. I also predicted that Russia would not be affected much, if at all, by all those western sanctions which would merely speed up the process of its integration into the Asian economic sphere. As you might have heard, it seems that the all those sanctions are hurting west European economies, such as Germany, much harder than Russia.

I mean.. Germany and many other European countries are trying to come up with all sorts of crazy “emergency” plans to mitigate the now almost inevitable cutoff from Russian natural gas during the upcoming cold season. It does not help that USA and other countries are not capable of increasing their natural gas production to meet European demand for a number of reasons, some of which are self-inflicted. There is also the issue of transporting this gas across the oceans, where the lack of spare LNG ships is a big problem, not to mention the cost and time it takes to build new ones, in addition to building infrastructure necessary for proper distribution after reaching the destination. My point is that west European “leaders” have shot themselves in the foot.

But this is not surprising. Remember these are the same geniuses who want to ban internal combustion engined automobile by 2030, without realistic plans for replacing them with anything functional- let alone something better. They are the same morons who believe that banning plastic straws and grocery bags will have a huge positive effect on the environment. These same human-hating retards also want to steal farmland and cause artificial famines to satisfy some dumb environmental targets. I could go on.. but you see the pattern by now. But what does any of this have to do with how incredibly delusional "western “experts” have been about the course of ongoing war in Ukraine? Also, aren’t a significant number of these “experts” from USA rather than just western Europe?

At this point, the more cynical among you might be wondering if the incredibly bad and delusional analysis by western “experts” is linked to obvious financial and career incentives, rather then their incompetence. Well.. part of why western “experts” have been consistently wrong about course of war in Ukraine is linked to those perverse incentives. However, it is my opinion, that a majority actually believe the hilariously dumb crap they are promoting. Here is why.. on a previous blog, I wrote many posts about how the “elites” (and wannabees) in western countries are disconnected from physical reality and how that is one of the main reason for the current death spiral of West. In them, I often pointed out how almost all current “elites” in West attained their position through some combination of birth luck and willingness to blindly comply with any fashionable groupthink. In that respect there is no real difference between western Europe and North America.

And this brings us back to the topic of this post, but first let me refresh your memory by giving you a shortlist of the incredibly bad predictions and analysis performed by western “experts”. To start with, these idiots actually believed that Russia would never go through with its threat of invading Ukraine- because these dumbshits believed that Russia was militarily weak and had a dollar GDP smaller than the state of Texas. Once Russia began the invasion, these same retards came up with the dumb idea that Russia was trying to capture Kiev in some lightning attack, even after it was very obvious that Moscow had committed over 3/4th of its force on the southern front. These “experts” wanted you to believe that Russia strategists were dumb enough to attempt capturing an unfriendly city of 3-4 million people and about 200k military personnel with about 40k troops. I strongly suspect they believed their own crap too..

After that, they wanted you to believe that Russia did not have the logistics necessary to prosecute a war lasting more than 3 days, then a week, then a few weeks. As early as third week of this war, western “experts” were busy writing posts about how Russia was running out of missiles. They also wanted you to believe that Russia’s use of some troops to fix Ukrainian defenses around Kiev with a much smaller, but still credible force, at beginning of conflict was the sign of a failed invasion. They wanted you to believe that fake stories of old Ukrainian women stopping tanks with pickle jars and farmers towing Russian tanks with tractors were true. I suspect they partially believed their own crap. These “experts” were busy extolling the virtue of western anti-tank missiles while it was obvious that most damage to Russian tanks during the first few weeks was due to old-fashioned artillery. These dummies were constantly promoting a few clips of some dumb Turkish UAV hitting a handful of tanks. We aren’t hearing much of Bayraktar TB2 nowadays, are we? I wonder why..

Then these “experts” were busy telling everyone how Ukraine had halted the Russian advance in Donbass. Then they were busy spinning stories about how M777s and other 155mm NATO artillery pieces were going to be a game changer. For some time, they were extolling western MANPAD systems. Now they are busy telling everyone who will still listen that HIMARS/ M270 will be a game changer. Did I mention the part where they were confident that many Ukrainian-occupied cities in Donbass would not fall? Turn out they fell and the new ones are falling faster than the previous batch. At this point, you have to ask yourself a question- how is possible to be so consistently and obviously wrong and still have a job? As mentioned earlier, the more cynical among you might say that all these western “experts” are just doing what they are paid for- aka propaganda for their respective governments.

While that is partially true, a much bigger cause for this phenomenon is the way “elite membership” clubs aka institutions work in the dying West. The thing is.. the only realistic way to gain membership to those clubs, have a career and obtain sinecures at this time in history is to go along with any and all fashionable groupthink. It does not matter if such groupthink is patently absurd, ridiculous and completely detached from reality. That is how lockdowns, face masks and vaccines of dubious efficacy became the standard to control COVID-19 pandemic. It is also how CRT and Trans-activism spread so fast in this country. That is also why Europeans and Liberals in this country are so willing to believe in “green” energy, electric cars and a lot more nonsense about “environmentalism”. To summarize, only people who are greedy, craven and very good at fooling themselves are able to enter western “elite” clubs and institutions. This type of selection does have serious consequences- some of which are visible even now- but the people currently in positions of power are too delusional to care. I plan to explore this topic further, specifically about how the type of people becoming physicians and academics has changed over past two decades, to the detriment of both professions.
